They slipped glass bottles around the freshly pollinated pomegranate blossoms, secured them to the branches, and then waited for the fall to come. By harvest, the bottles contained a fully-formed fruit, which could be preserved in alcohol and corked up like the finest of wine-in-potentia. At last, the bottles were labeled for sale to adventurers, rescue workers, and the terminally unlucky who might find themselves in need of passage through an underworld: Break In Case of Untimely Death.
